Insemination
Hi there,
I am doing my second IUI and very upset that the after picking the semen up the doctor took his time and it didnt get inseminated untill 35 minutes after i picked it up from lab im worried that it wont work now he said they will be fine does anyone know ??

I dont know for sure but Im sure they will be fine :) Good luck with the IUI!!
Oh and welcome to BB!

we used to have a delay (from collection) of at least 90 mins.
if it's a thawed sample, i'm guessing it would have a similar viability time once defrosted...

I'm not too sure but there were delays for me too, once a long delay b/c the Professor doing the IUI was held up with another proceedure.

Delay is fine. Actually when I had my first IUI (it worked but we m/c) I accidently went to the wrong clinic . And I marched in there and dropped my semen on the counter and they said... umm.... *blush*.
The lady was lovely and drove me to the right lab. It was "collected" at 5 am and eventually inseminated at 9 am. But the guy I ran into in the lift did the semen prep for IVF patients, and he said that sperm and still swimming 6+ hours later when he processes them.
Best of luck.
