TMI - how to tell the difference between ovulation pain and gas pain

Hi there!
Here's a slightly embarrasing TMI question. Can anyone tell me the difference in feel between gas pain and ovulation pain? I have had pains on the side under the hip bone which I interpret as ovulation pain, but then they repeat on the other side later on, so I presume that means it it gass pain instead?

can anyone tell me the difference in how ovulation pain feels as opposed to gass pain so I can tell the difference?
