Maternity pants not staying up

I have a few different pairs of maternity pants, and almost all of them are always falling down. I spend the day readjusting my bellyband, pants and tops because the pants keep falling down and showing butt (if the top wasn't long enough/bellyband not where it is meant to be)

AM i the only one? Is my body wierdly shaped or am i getting the wrong size pants?

Even the ones with a drawstring still need constant adjusting, the drawstring is tight under the bump, but the top of the pants always falls down plus the drawstring needs adjusting.

I just wore the clothes my mother had bought for me to grow into a couple of years back. (No, I wasn't pregnant at 12. I just have a strange mother.)

I did have one pair of maternity jeans and needed a belt for the entire pregnancy with them. That was in my usual size too. I also got into the dresses-over-trousers fashion as well. Longer tops worked a lot better than belly bands or trousers falling down.

This happened to me too! It was as if my hips became non existent. I wore the ones that folded over or went up over my belly with a belt. The belt I used was one of those stretchy elastic wide ones and it worked really well.

I found the best pants were the ones designed to over the bump not under it.

This describes ALL of my maternity pants with the exception of my maternity leggings. My shape is very different to last time OR I stretched my Mat stuff so badly last time that I just cannot wear them any more.

All my stuff is over belly and its just as bad so I don't know what the solution is.

I've had this with every pregnancy too, and with most pant styles. :(
There are a couple of solutions. You can get maternity pant suspenders that clip to your bra. :) (Now everything can sag together! Much less noticeable, right....?) Google will find some for you if you want to try that route.
I've had some reasonable success with belly bands. You can get them at maternity shops, and online, or even make you own if you sew. They're just a band of stretchy fabric that goes over top of your pants, and adds a little extra snugness to keep them in place. They're also great for when you're just getting out of your own pants, but not quite in maternity pants. You can unzip your pants and cover them up with the belly band. Works well for postpartum too. And, they make a nice cover-up for your belly when you're nursing - keeps that poor post-partum belly covered up when you lift your shirt.
I got the "store brand" ones before, but they stained and frayed and raveled, so I'm going to get the better quality ones this time around. Check out the BellaBand by Ingrid and Isabel.

Redface. I use to pin my over belly jeans to my bra. Sexy hey. Then I just went to skirts. Pants just don't work.

I ended up in tracksuits pants with an elastic waist for that reason! I had a great pair of maternity pants but they arent made anymore they were belly Australia.

Trackies, because all pants fall down. Maternity pants are just... crap.

Elastic belts. Kmart & Jacqui-e. saved my life both times. Generally wore them under my bump and I have virtually no hips/bum. Worked best with a pair of mat jeans for me.

All the pants I have are fine, but they are mostly nicer brands that have been given to me. Does the elastic look like it's going? Most of mine have really wide elastic too. Could you do something with new elastic to improve them?

Or, it's just possible your belly is bigger this time around and you need a different size. Mine sure is!

I seem to be having this problem this time round too! Last time I only bought stuff that went over the bump, but because I will be wearing it in summer this time I have bought a few pairs of leggings and a couple of pairs of pants that go under, but am constantly pulling them up. Will have to give the elastic belt a try I think, because there is no way I want to be wearing a belly band in the middle of summer.

I had a weird pair that we cut so that there was no elastic at the front of them, just a bit at the back and the idea was that your belly held them up but your belly had to be a certain size for that to work otherwise they just fell down all the time.

I had a habit of wearing a tight singlet under my normal tops and basically using that to hold up my pants. The singlets were snug enough that they sort of just held onto the top of the pants and stopped them from slipping down too much. It didn't matter if the pants started pulling the singlet down my bra a little because I would have another top over the singlet anyway.

I've been wearing maternity pants since 14wks cause they were the most comfortable, but they're a bloody pain to keep hitching up, especially when your on your feet for up to 7 hours a day!

No pants stay up on me anymore ;(

i have one pair that go under the bump that are not too bad, they are Target brand but don't think they sell that style any more.

I am wearing a bellyband thing every day anyway cos i have muscle seperation and it helps holds my guts together- it goes under my pants though so doesn't hold em up just maintains my modesty if they go too low.

i have some tracky pants that are comfy, but i can't wear them everyday, and not to work.

My non-maternity pants either go over the bump and i look like harry high pants or they go under and the crutch of the pants goes down to my knees!

I even bought Ripe pants thinking they would be better but nup. think i'm just gonna ride out the last trimester with whatever i have and keep adjusting every half an hour.

I have three pairs of jeans with the big belly band and as soon as I walk out the door, any one I wear will end up sagging around my bum and I am constantly hitching them up. I've tried long singlets, to hold em up, that won't work.

Hmmm looks like I have to buy a belly belt
