Tell me about Sheltaguard Security Doors....

Do you have them and are you happy with them?

I know most people rave on and on about Crimsafe but most of the company's around the area I live in think they are a waste of money and you only pay for the name.

I have had a few quotes done and today decided on the Sheltaguard Doors. We are getting 2x normal open out doors (one for the front door and one for the door from the garage into the kitchen) and then 3x sliding doors (2x on the games room leading out to the alfresco and 1x on the laundry). In total is cost us $2600 even with the better locks and im really happy with that.

Shelta guard seem to be much easier to clean than the normal stainless steel ones.

I've just had quotes for screen doors also. I have not heard of Sheltaguard and from the 3 quotes i've just had each one had a different brand of security type doors they fitted. They were Invisi-Gard, Screen-Safe & PR Aluminium & Hardware PTY LTD.

From what i understand (which is a very simple understanding) is if the stainless steel is made from marine grade (316) it will stand the weather much better. And there are the tougher type meshes avaiable, ones that will withstand animals and children better.

I had a quote for 1 sliding door and 2 hinged doors and it is up around the $2000 mark so what you're being quoted sounds pretty good to me.

I personaly think it's better getting the good sturdy type doors as they will last longer in the weather and use over time.

I didn't even bother looking into Crimsafe, they may be good but a lot of the cost would surely be to do with the name :)
