Birth Photography
I am interested to know what the interest is generally for birth photography? I am branching out into it from family portraiture and wondering
generally how most women feel about it? I really wish it was an option for me when I had my last four, and am definately going to get a fellow photographer frie:lol:nd do it for me next time..
I have already started to get my birth portfolio underway, but wanted your opinions on the concept?

i love it and wish i had the money to get someone to capture my next birth!

i would have loved it for my babies, also those precious first minutes. But wouldn't do it now cos didn't for DD1&2

Ewww. You, as a stranger, want to be there when my baby is born? Or right afterwards? When I'm all manky and smelly and naked and the like?
For me it would be a definate no.

I would definitely look into having professional birth photography done if I were to have another baby. My doula took some photos during the birth of my son and I am so glad I have them now. It wouldn't be for everyone, but I think there would be a fair bit of interest in it. Good luck :)

I think its an awesome idea and like a PP said, I didnt do it for #1 so prob wouldnt do pro ones for #2
I do regret not getting any 'during' shots but my sil was there and got all the first few moments!

Thanks girls I appreciate your feedback....... I realise not everyone would go for it, but it seems to be increasingly popular in queensland so I am trying it down here in Melbourne.:D

If I went again I'd do or for sure but only as my close friend is a photographer. No I wouldn't pay a stranger. But I'd tell people about it :)
