First af after bubs and breastfeeding

So I have got my first af since bub was born. I'm finding my nipples are so sore, feeding is so painful. Is this normal?

Also dd is being super fussy and pulling off and on and whimpering for about 5 minutes before she latches properly. I've heard that's pretty normal, when does it settle down. Also wondering if your supply drops during af because it's taking dd a long time to get a let down when she finally does latch properly.

Is feeding aversion normal through af? I suffer from feeding aversion normally. I really struggle with breastfeeding in general. But the last few days my aversion has peaked and I am feeling murderous towards breastfeeding. I don't want her anywhere near my boob at all. Will that settle down because it's all a bit much right now.

I got AF back at 6weeks and DD was terribly fussy around AF time would be on and off and want to feed all day, it does pass though once AF is gone.

her fussing could mean she is feeding in a slightly different way to what your nipples are use to so they are 'wearing' sort of like they do in the beginning (does that make sense?)
I would suffer from bf aversion, was just over the whole thing at times, it could be AF, it could be the fussiness, I found it does pass and had to tackle one feed at a time. Are you getting any time out of the house on your own? even just a walk around the house? having the chance to clear your head is important too :hug:

I used to find it was a day-before-and-first-day-of thing. And it was for each period - he didn't get less fussy as he got older.
I don't think my supply dropped, but the swollen boobs made latching more difficult, and I think let-down was slower. Being tense makes let down take longer - so if you can really relax physically then it might be over faster.

yep, both my girls were/are fussy around the time AF is due. it sucks balls lol.

My AF came back after eight months (and is now pretty regular after needing IVF to conceive because of PCOS and irregular almost nonexistent periods GRRR) and I get sore nipples when DS feeds for the days leading up and all through the period.

After my AF came back at 9-10 months after having my DS I found that my supply would suffer a little during AF. When AF was due I would make up a batch of lactation cookies and also take some blessed thistle and fenugreek tablets to boost my supply.

Ok so today I had a rotten headache (the only real symptom of my af that I usually get) some very slight cramping (I generally get cramping so bad I lay around in agony on day 1) and the very tiniest amount of blood (tmi I know) and I have stopped bleeding now.

Last month I had off and on spotting for about a week, this seems like a next step along. Did anyone else's af come back in dribs and drabs??

Good to know the fussy thing is pretty normal. Might have to have some porridge or something tomorrow cos bubs nappies were hardly wet at all today. I live in a small town so would have to order fernugreek, blessed thistle and brewers yeast from the Internet which doesn't help me right now lol. Any other natural boosters other than oats??

Dribs and drabs is pretty common. So is nothing-like-monthly for a while.
Will Piper have water? Or fruit (which is 80+% fluid)?
