advance payment question?

Until April I was recieving Parenting payment, & got my advance back in Feb.
Its now paid off & I've changed from parenting to carers payment.

If I was still on PP I know I can't reapply for my advance til Feb again, but do I still have to wait for an advance of my carers payment??

I can't ring atm & not in town to ask til at least tomorrow, & getting there just for that is a PITA...
So thought I'd see if our experts here know first. I thought about just applying online, but don't actually want it yet.

Check online if you have access to your account online.

You can apply for payments there and have them granted instantly if eligible.

the only way to know for sure is to test your eligibility either online or over the phone. if you do it over the phone, the activity can be cancelled. in theory, as long as you've not had an advance for at least 6 months, you should be eligible, but the swap over of payments may prevent that so you'll only know for sure by testing it out. you don't have to actually take it, just test it out (i'm not sure you can just test eligibility online so best to call up about it)

ok, well i went through the process of applying online, & the amount i could apply for came up, but until its approved i guess thats not really an answer either way.
hmm... i need it, but not yet. don't wanna hold off the next 4 or 5 weeks, then apply to find out i can't get it til feb...
maybe i'll give it another week, apply, & if its approved put it in savings til i need it.

it says yes or no straight away when you apply

i know, i didn't actually want the money in the bank yet though. i don't want it for another 4 or 5 weeks.
