Best bra for small breast (really small!)

I am getting used to the idea that this is it. There will be no sudden, miraculous change in my breasts. I need to get on with getting some bras that fit.

I used to be a B cup, and could always happily wear an underwire bra as they weren't uncomfortable for me. There were plenty of 10/12Bs in the shops. Now, 10A's and AA's - they are nearly impossible to find and the only two 10 A's i did just find at my local store didn't fit properly. My measurement was either 10A or 12 AA. Just writing it down is a little sad :(

I have the boys with me all the time and i just can't see how i can get to a proper bra shop and get fitted without there being a drama.

Where do i go? What brands are great for those of us for whom less is more! Or am i the only one :(

Last time I seen an AA size was in Kmart.

You're not the only one hun, I have trouble finding AA's. I bought the most comfortable bra from an Undercover Wear party, it is great.

Can you go braless? I have biggish boobs (DD), but I reckon I'd be braless if I could!! Or does it not work that way....??

I'm exactly the same size as you hun. To get 12AA I have to go into a proper bra shop and they order them in or for 10-12A you can get them at Kmart/Big W/Target.

I too am an AA cup. Unlike you, I am still coming to terms with it. I don't wear a bra for the support, it's to hold the padding and most AA bras are pre-teen, so not padded! I also find the padded/booster bras from the major stores are hard and don't fit to my (lack of) shape. I have a couple of great Intimo gel bras that fit well, even though they're B cups. I also recently bought a couple of Ambra body soft bras with oodles of padding! They're underwire, but still very comfy. Mine were from Trade Secret, but I do know Myer sells Ambra's.
Oh, and I also bought some 'chicken fillets' for less than $3 off eBay that are good with my swimmers and 'back up bras'! HTH

You could do your own fitting at home. You just need a measuring tape ;)


It might be worth having a look online to buy some bras - you can make sure the measurements are right and usually you can return them if your not happy for any reason.

If I go braless I'm as flat as a tack, certainly don't need it for the support but at least with a bra it looks like I've got boobs :lol:.

I am definitely going to try a couple of these suggestions (I can't believe they might have to order them in for me :wall:)

nickle - braless sounds great, but i would look like someone stuck two pin tacks to my chest! ;) I'm with Dianne, it's a boost for the morale as well as the cupsize.
Jleigh - i got some chicken fillets but they are too huge (more like a turkey!)! I need to get smaller ones maybe - these ones were OTT.

La Senza do some fantastic padded bras - I live in them. I'm usually a 32AA-32A, but AAs are getting rarer and rarer.

ETA - just done some on-line fitting things. I'm a 36AA, a 32B, 34B, 36B or a 34A, depending on the site. I even go up to 34C on one website. I'm not relying on that. I'm a 32A or just under. That's the bra that fits around my back, over my shoulders AND has no overspill (I wish!). Didn't Onyx post a while ago about going to a bra shop, getting groped and given a fantastic fitted bra? Seems that's better than using tape measures.

maybe try bnt... they have specialised fitters and even some of their 10A's and on the smaller side or have extra padding too.
i used to manage one of the stores(dont anymore)... so i know they are good.

I get my DD's bras from Myer. Ambra, Mitch Dowd, Miss Pink all have wire free AA cup sized bras.

Wire free usually = no padding in my experience, so probably no good. Do let us know how you go - I am always on the lookout for good bras.

LOL, when pg and I needed new bras due to growth, I was told that pregnancy bras didn't come "that small" and I'd have to wear a "teen trainer" bra. Cheers shop assistant - so pleased there's more than one lingerie shop in town now! Don't consider the feelings of others ever, will you? (I had to internet order my feeding bras too.)

I wouldn't usually know this info because I have the opposite problem but I have had SO many problems trying to find small cup size bras for DD with no wire that when I find them I buy up big.

BTW...2 weeks ago I got her some bras from Myer off the clearance rack and they came down to $6 each :o So I bought up big lol. Seriously, go and check out Myer.

I wore singlet/shelf bra feeding tops. For the last 4 years. They were exciting times in fashion for me.

I can't believe how different some websites are - I'm a triple A on one!!! Boohoo. And BNT don't even go to AA on their website. I googled a few more sites and there were plenty of 'training' bras. :wall:
