Ultrasound
I had a Pelvic ultrasound today to see if there is a reason for not falling pregnant for 12 months.
The sonographer spent a lot of time looking at my kidneys.
Is this normal?
He evaded my questions on why he spent so much time looking at them.....
Am I being paranoid?
He also couldnt see any evidence of ovulation- only that I have thick lining.....
I'm CD15.
I know I should wait till I see my DR, but just putting it out there in case anyone has an idea!

I had a pelvic ultrasound when we were ttc for while. And mine also spent ages looking at my kidneys. It turns out I apparently had a cyst in the ureter. Completely unrelated to ttc. Anyway i had a follow up scan and there was no cyst. Lol. If your not ovulating you need to see a fertility specialist :( good luck hun

Thanks!
The earliest appointment I could get with my chosen FS, is march 1st.
I'm in for a long wait!
My GP will also look at my results- so she may have something to tell me.

Try not to worry Emma, they had a good look at my kidneys too. I guess they're in the area, so checking out the other organs while they're there.
When I had my lap I was surprised to be told I had a 'lovely liver'!
It's hard when they're all cryptic and can't say anything, but part of their job. Are you going back to your GP for the results/report?

I got the films to take with me- and my GP will get hers on Thursday.
She said she will call me if there is anything to discuss.

Hi Emma
My understanding is that your ovaries and kidneys are made at the same time when your are a foetus and sometimes when there are abnormalities on the kidneys there are other problems with your ovaries too itms?

That makes excellent sense!
Thanks LD xxx

Just to update- my GP has contacted me for an appointment to discuss my results.
Something must have shown up, for her to want to see me :(

Oh hun, dont freak out just yet  it might be nothing or something very minor. Fingers crossed all is ok
-
Hun, it doesn't mean bad news. Try not to stress, ok? GL for your appointment xox
-
Babe massive  hopefully it's nothing major, and knowing is better than not knowing right? Each step is a step in the right direction.
Sent from my iPhone, more than likely while I should be doing something else!

 Try not to imagine the worst Emma (easier said than done I know).
For what it's worth, my GP never gives me any kind of test results over the phone or to pick up. I always have to go back in to discuss them, even if everything's fine. She won't even say 'it's fine' over the phone!
When's your appointment?
PS I agree with ZF - information is power - it gives you options, helps you do something. Good luck hon.
