The birth of Hunter Riley ... Dec 16th 2011
:dance:well i finally have a moment of peace to write this..
Hunter Riley was born on December 16th 2011.:male:
I had been into hospital 2 times in the week leading up to the birth, both on the same day, appeared to be having regular contractions... even the midwives thought I was in labour..... nothing happened !!
at 36 weeks and 6 days finally my waters broke. I was in bed and felt a little trickle... then got a towel and stood up .... A BIG LEAK !!:oops:
So I had a quick shower and phoned the hospital. no labour pains at this stage but Ds 3 was the same where labour started 1 hr after waters broke.
so we got our bags and headed off to hospital ....
...... waited........ hooked up to the machines......... nothing happening !!
..... more waiting........ a little sleeping ..... about 3 hrs all night .......... still nothing happening !
the next morning the docs came around and told us we could go home or be induced. i had chance of infection if i left it for over 18 hrs. it had been 12 hrs at this time since waters broke .
so we decided induction
took a little while for drugs to start working
then finally labour started ..... about 4 min apart contractions....

3 hrs labour..... posterior labour....... lots of back pain !!!!
pushing for 5 mins
speedy delivery..... leaning over bed on a mat on floor........ DH wiping my head and neck with cold cloth as i was burning up..... or so i thought....... LOL
finally with a push he popped out.... all white and crying
we got on the bed and he was laid on my chest so we could get to know our bub
he is amazing in every way
has dark brown hair, about 2 cm long already.... so cute:baby:
he has a little jaundice because he was 3 weeks early after all... so he almost looks european with skin and hair.. lol.... DH and i are both very white... he he he
he is feeding well and i am amazed at this miracle we have been blessed with bringing into this world... thanks to all who helped
