Blessed Litha to all
Wishing you all a blessed Litha :)
On this longest day of the year, light and life are abundant. At mid-summer, the Sun God has reached the moment of his greatest strength. Seated on his greenwood throne, he is also lord of the forests, and his face is seen in church architecture peering from countless foliate masks. It is a time of battle between light and dark. The Oak King rules between the winter and summer solstice, the Holly King summer to winter solstice. At the solstices they battle for power.
Summer begins on Beltane (Oct 31st) and ends on Lughnassadh (Feb 2nd).
Midsummer Night's Eve is also special for adherents of the Faerie faith.
It is a time to let your inner child out.

Thanks for that.
I thought the longest day this year was Monday? I was too sick to do anything about it.
