Choosing between a sure job and an amazing job.... what would you do?

Here is a question for everyone.....

What would you do if you were offered a good job in your field with pretty good pay, but had also gotten an email from a different person saying that your DREAM job may be offered to you in March (it is subject to a grant being successful). Would you take the first job because it is a sure thing, or would you hold out for your dream job which may never happen. Or would you take the first job knowing that in a few months you may leave it?

This is all hypothetical at this point as neither may come up but it is something I have pondering for a while. So what would you do?

Take the first job knowing that something may come up in a few months. I do believe in pursuing what makes your heart leap. I don't believe in relying on bureaucracy to get it. So definately go for it when it comes up. Just dont bank on it now.

Yes same as others have said take number 1 and resign of dream comes along!
