Clomid question
Hi,
I have what may be a bit of a stupid question... I have PCOS and was prescribed clomid for my second baby and fell pregnant pretty much straight away on 50mg. I went through my doctor who sent me to my ob/gyn and got tested etc. I want to take it again to TTC #3 - my question is: can my GP prescribe clomid and will I have to go through all the tests again? Or is it just in the domain of a specialist? eg ob/gyn (Hope I am making sense!) I'm stressing at the thought of having to go through all of that again, and the expense. And it's so time-consuming going to the doctor, getting referral, going to specialist, ultrasounds, bloodtests etc! (Not being lazy or anything, just busy!:boohoo: )
If anyone can answer I would really appreciate it.. Thank you guys!

Hey there, unfortunately GP's cant prescribe clomid. Only fertility specialists ob/gynos can.
I dont think you will have to go through all the tests again. If I were you I would make an appointment and just tell them that you needed it to conceive with your other 2 kids and would like to takw it again.
Hope you get your bfp really soon :)

Yep - only an OB/Gynae can prescribe but you shouldn't need the tests again. I just went back to my specialist and he wrote me a script.

Hi Danni and Michelle,
Thank you so much for taking the time to answer me. I really appreciate it. I'm chicken to go to my ob/gyn because I stuffed him around with my 6 week post-partum appointment (cancelling and rebooking) and then never went (I knew he wanted to do a pap smear!!). It just would have been so easy to waltz into the gp's to get it! I don't think I'll be falling naturally until I get it - I was TTC for years with my first two (I don't ovulate or get normal periods). Oh well...
Best of luck for these cycles for you both. Again ,thanks for replying.
