On edge
Hello
I'm currently 20wks 4days pg with my "rainbow baby" I had a beautiful girl Char-leigh born sleeping in march this year @ 35 wks due to a blood clot disorder I have. Last Wednesday we had our 19 wk ultrasound to find we are having a boy but then they dropped a bombshell saying they think he has a hole in his heart. They called in the head lady and she wasnt convinced that she could see it, so now I have to wait it out until 24 wks and have another scan done to see for sure. I was wondering if anyone else has had to deal with this I'm really stressing atm.
Cheers Kelly

hi hun, my little man had TOF, a major heart defect that was going to require open heart surgery at around 6 months.
contact heart kids, they are absolutely fantastic!
hoping the next 3 and a bit weeks fly for you and nothing is found. theyre hearts are so so tiny at 20 weeks its hard for anyone to see anything. when you have your scan an ob and cardiologist will be present, maybe even a pead surgeon, they'll most likely talk alot amongst themsleves which is frustrating.
Keep us posted

We had our follow up u/s yesterday for our little mans heart. He doesn't have a hole in it like 1st thought but now they have found that his heart is the wrong way or sitting a bit twisted. We are now waiting to go to Melbourne to see a specialist at the Monash Medical centre. We are so scared about all this even more so after losing Char-leigh nearly 11 months ago.

I am so sorry that you are going through this - I can't imagine how you are feeling! I think reaching out to support networks like heartkids is a great idea - even if it's just so you don't feel alone.
Thinking of you xx
