I think my 19month old is wanting to TT. She is standing next to the toilet and tkaing her nappy off saying wees. I have got the potty out for her and hse sits on it, she tells me when her nappy is wet/dirty.
I'm not ready to TT her yet, but is shes ready then I will go with it.
So how old were your LOs when they TT?? If you had LOs TT when they were young (like my little miss) what did you find useful?? My oldest TT at 2.5 - 3yrs.
DD1 was about 18 months... progressed very quickly.
If she is going straight for the toilet, don't bother with the potty, go straight with her lead and get a toilet seat for her and let her use it as she wishes. You really don't need to 'do' anything as such, just offer her the physical assistance she needs to do what she is already doing :)

DD1 was 3, DD2 so far has showed no real interest and she's 27 months
DD was 18 months. Went straight from nappies to undies and using the loo. Didn't like the potty.
DD is 27 months and shows all the "signs" you read about - however she has only ever actually done 1 wee and 1 poo in the toilet and that was weeks ago, I just go with it when she tells me wee wee and put her on the toilet, even though she has normally just done it in her nappy!
So maybe I should put some undies on her and see what happens??? We have tiles all through the house so if she makes a mess it won't be too hard to clean up..
I reckon worth a try. Keep a mop on hand just in case!! :lol:

DD was 2 and a bit and DS was 2 1/2 - both of them were ready and practically trained themselves :rofl: I seriously provided undies, potty, toilet step and praise but they did it themselves - especially DD who trained overnight as well within about a week :o So if she's ready I say go for it!
Both DS & DD were 2.5, they both showed signs before 2 but they just couldn't get it all together :lol:
I'd give it a go too, just be on alert for mess!! I hope your little poppet takes to it quickly! That would be great but if not, keep trying every so often she'll get it soon enough!
If my DD were showing that much interest I'd give it a shot too.
DD1 was 3, DD2 is 2.5 and still not TT.
2.5 and 2.75 but man if they were doing that at her age I'd be giving it a crack too!
My son is 3yrs 9mths and I'm starting to try and TT him now though he's not really into the idea.
DD1 was just over 2 years old and DD2 is currently TT, she's 27 months.
DD has been 3 for 2months and she is currently in the process of working it out.
DS1 is 3 years and 4 months and not really interested at all, does sometimes take nappy off and pretend to sit on edge of toilet but wont be helped up, DS2 is 23 months and occasionally takes nappy off and says wees and stands next to toilet but doesnt want to sit on it.
I hope DS1 gets there soon as over his feral nappies!!
Absolutely!!!! I say run with it. We started DD at 11 months and she was using toilet fulltime by 18 months. She might get it now and she might not, but hey, you gave it a shot :):
Ds was 2.5years and like a few other have said I didnt do much when he decided he was ready it was done overnight no stress at all been really easy if I could give anyone advice it would be when they want to do it then do it no earlier they will just end up hating it goodluck
with my DD I accidently bought the wrong sized nappies for her when she was barely 2 and she refused to wear them, so she went into knickers. She was dry day and night from that day on, however doing poo's took nearly 12 months more to get the hang of.
DS was also 2, and I knew he was ready. I told him one day that I was not putting on nappies anymore and he had to go to the toilet, never wore nappies again.
I have a friend whose DD TT at 16 months, she just left a potty out and her DD would just take herself off to the potty when she needed it.
If I were you I would try now, with summer its so easy to leave them with just undies on, so you only have one thing to wash out if they have an accident
