do kids know?
Ok so this kinda follows on from do animals know thread, but do kids know?
My girls have been acting up this week. Actually they have been feral this last week, and everyday they seem to be stepping it up a notch or two. Christmas and new year period wasnt out of our ordinary routine. DH swears that its because of the school holidays, but I doubt it.
Im starting to think that they 'know' whats going on, or that something major is about to happen. DD2 has started sleeping a lot longer in her bed at night, instead of coming in during the night, shes coming in round 6amish. Shes even getting her day sleeps down again, both girls are sleeping in longer too.
But mostly they are acting out, they even seem unsettled.
Do you think kids have an sense of the impending?

I think so and that they all have their own ways of dealing with it. DD1 was very clingy for the last week of my pregnancy. She always had to have me do everything and wanted to lay with me at bed time. The day I started having contractions she was an absolute angel. SHe stayed with me all day but just wanted to sit next to me, she did not whinge, did not cry. I think she knew something was happening. Even when it came time for me to put her to bed (after laboring all day) she was great.

Thanks Kazzo,
that sounds so promising! And gosh i hope the girls settle down in the lead up to it! :) I honestly dont remember if DD1 was any different in the lead up to labour with DD2, so Im not so sure what to expect this time round.

You might be onto something there, Moo was an absolute handful leading up to his little bro's birth. I moaned to friend's that I wanted to enjoy our last weeks together with him as my only but was really struggling!

I'll let you know in a few days ;)
DS has been a pain. First he doesn't want anything to do with me, then all he wants is me... 8 days time (if we make it!) time will tell for me

We've been wanting to have another baby for ages, so we ask Elly if she wants a baby a lot, and it's always a definite "noooo", until a few weeks ago, she started saying "yes" and now I'm pregnant! She's gotta know something...

Definitely. DS1 really acted up just before DS2's birth, and my sister found the same with her DD. All the best hun.

I found the opposite! The night I went in to labour, my DS had been an absolute angel all day, I even let him stay up and watch a movie in bed with me as DH was on night shift.. We had the best night together, he ended up falling asleep in our bed so I let him stay there and we snuggled all night.. Woke up in labour at 4:30am.
