For a little while after my miscarriages I would get a tingling sensation in my boobs when I heard a baby cry or held a baby or freakin saw a baby. I figured it was leftover hormones because it went away after a couple of months.
Just saw the new Huggies ad, the one with all the newborns - same thing happened. The whole tingling thing, very strong this time. So, as if my ovaries don't ache enough at those ads, will I always get this feeling, what I assume is a pre-letdown thing? :cry:

I have had the tingling but its been pretty hit and miss and never as constant as your sounds. I have just passed an angel's due date and held a friend's newborn yesterday. He started crying for a feed and I was streaming colostrum (poor little guy must have smelt it cos he's bottle fed but still tried to nuzzle in). Don't know if that had anything to do with me being a bit emotional over my angel at the moment, or more to do with my current pregnancy?
I hope it passes for you. The last thing you need is added pain.
I never had the tingling or let down until I had the loss at 12+ weeks. It only lasted until 3 weeks after the D&C and I had colostrum leaking too. I never get the tingling or let down anymore but I can imagine it would be quite distressing for you, because it definitely was for me. I cant imagine why it would still be happening to you and I really hope it passes for you quickly.
Keike: out of interest have you had your prolactin level tested ?
Sorry MM, I forgot to answer. No I haven't - what is it? I haven't had the feeling since then which I'm glad about. For a bit I thought I might be pregnant again, but a test ruled it out and the feeling went away.
Prolactin is the hormone that is responsible for lactation. Elevated levels can cause issues conceiving, miscarriage and menstrual problems. It could be worth asking for a blood test to rule it out as an issue.
