"Weaning" off the sleeping bag!
Ladies, I'm a bit stuck. ("Stuck mumma, STUCK" - DS's new word  )
DS is 18mths, coming up to 19mths. He is a tall boy, not stick thin but not chubby. I think around 12kgs. Wearing size 2 clothes. Has been in sleeping bags since 4mths old. Currently in size 6-18mths. Getting to tight around the neck and need to wean him out of them!
This afternoon I attempted to put him down for his sleep without the bag. He just played, yelled out to me, walked around in the cot, banged the wall etc for an hour :o I didn't leave him alone for all that time, I was in and out, lying him down, cuddling him, rubbing his back, telling him it was time for sleeping, shushing, sitting on the floor, tried everything. Eventually I put him back into the bag and he drifted off. Hmm.
With DD, we transitioned her to her big girl bed in her sleeping bag, then just removed the bag for day sleeps and a few days later at nights as well.
That's not going to work for DS as he is still in the cot.
Suggestions???
I really don't want to buy the bigger size... he will be in a bed soon enough and I don't think it is worth it.
