antenatal lactation
When did people start producing milk? This is more a curiousity thing, as I am hoping to do some antenatal expressing to have some colostrum ready for Spock JIC.
I use to be able to lactate before I got pregnant, but once falling pregnant that stopped. I'm noticing some (well what seems like) dry crusty stuff on my nipples, but nothing fresh.
So when did you start producing milk?

I started leaking and could hand express yellow colostrum from 28 weeks, as I thought it was linked to my first round of steriod injections.

I started leaking colostrum noticeably at 16 weeks, which I believe is very early. Really, it would have been closer to 14 weeks but I didn't know what the crusty stuff was. But at 16 weeks, I was getting intimate with DH (lol!) when I felt a drip on my arm. Then another, and another. Looked down and my nipples were dripping!
