Hot shower after FET - HELP!!

Hi All,

After my FET yesterday the nurse reminded me not to have any hot baths, saunas, sun baking etc for the next few days.

This morning like the total idiot that I am - I had a relatively hot shower - and then remembered as I was getting out!!!

Now I am moderately freaking out! Will a hot shower harm my blast? Has anyone else been told not to have a hot shower? Advice appreciated.

Hi hun I like my showers really hot and had one after embryo transfer, I just didn't aim to much water on my tummy :)

The idea is not to raise your core temperature so that includes hot showers, baths, etc, overheating in bed, vigorous exercise, etc.

If you didn't overheat, you should be fine :)

I didnt get any hot water on my tummy, and I hope my core temperature didn't rise too much:shakehead:

At least I'm not exercising, sleeping in a warm bed etc - I think I may nt shower again until the end of 2ww.

So grateful for your reassuring words!! Agghhhhhhhh back at work at least that's a good distraction.

My Ob told me that it's much harder to overheat your core temperature in a shower than it is in a bath. You know when you are in a hot bath and you get that hot flush feeling where you sort of feel like you are sweating and sometimes you can get a little light headed? That's what it feels like when your core temperature is getting too warm. I've had it happen in the shower before as well (and have had to open the door to get some cool air), but you have to have the water up pretty hot and usually with the fan off in the bathroom so the whole room gets pretty humid and warm. The normal air flow in a bathroom with the fan on is usually enough to stop you from heating up too much :)
