Unexpected much?
I never thought I would find out I was pg, and mc in the same day. Ok I had a hunch yesterday after a suspicious line appeared, but it was barely visible.
Before I continue I will say that I am ok with this. Stunned, but alright. We weren't TTC. I am on BCP. But gastro or whatever mysterious illness I had mid January rendered it useless. I forgot about it until the day before AF was due.
For the time being I am calling it a chemical pregnancy, but a couple of things are bothering me.
I feel nauseous. My boobs are still a bit achey (this always stops when the bleeding starts, be it AF or PG related). Has anyone experienced this? Did you indeed mc? I'm not holding out any hope. In fact this has only reminded me how much fear I still have of birthing again. I want another baby, but selfishly at the time of my choosing.
So if anyone would care to share their blighted ovum/chem experience, please do. I am kind of confused. Should I see my GP to make sure I am no longer pg or can I just let this one go? I would prefer the latter.
TIA.

I thought I had had a evap line + about a week and a half ago, and then got AF a few days ago, until I started passing strange clots and bits of tissue today. Now I really don't know. My other chem preg, my faint positives got progressively lighter, and then I bled and bled. I passed huge clots and ended up with a d&c. The emotions are weird and conflicting; sadness, confusion. It's hard to know how to feel, because it's so early, because you didn't know. I would see your GP as I've been the same as you, my preg symptoms have always disappeared when m/c an I've always wanted conformation that my levels weren't rising.

Yes, it happened to me recently. Although we were TTC.
My GP was happy for me to let it happen naturally but after 3 weeks of bleeding I commenced a medical curette under the guidance of a gyne.
I'm sorry this has happened to you.

I never went to a GP with mine. I just POAS every couple of days until there was no line, and then I knew it was all over. I also got the sore boobs etc. I didn't have bleeding for longer than 6 or 7 days.
I really don't think its a problem to let it go naturally, but if your bleeding doesn't ease after a few days (expect a few clots and heavier than normal bleeding) you should go and get checked. Likewise if you start getting a fever or feeling very unwell.
I'm so sorry

I'm sorry for you loss hun. Take your time to heal and get your mind around it all. It can be a strange feeling when it happens like this :comfort:
With my last MC, I got a BFP and MC the next day or 2 later. It was really surreal as I didn't want another baby at the time and felt rather guilty when I did MC.
I didn't go to a Dr as the bleeding/clots slowed down after 2 days. I ended up PG with DD3, 2 cycles later!

Thanks ladies. I feel worse than yesterday. Pg symptoms remain, and I just want to scream. It's my birthday next week. Happy birthday to me. :(
I'm angry at my body, the universe, everything. I don't understand why this had to happen. I have never had my BC fail. Even when I've been sick or careless or both in the past.
This is just such a shock. I thought I was ok but I don't know how I feel, or should feel.
F***

I have no experience but wanted to offer some

I've had two chem pregnancies and both were the same. I had symptoms and i did a test and got faint but definitely positive result but within days AF started with cramping and heavy bleeding. My symptoms instantly disappeared, so no sore boobs and nausea all gone.
The same thing happened after my miscarriage. I had felt awful since the moment i found out i was pregnant. Even during those 2 weeks of spotting i had severe nausea and vomitting but that sunday (7th aug) that i passed the baby i instantly felt great up until i got the infection and then the flu not long after.

:-( I'm really sorry for your loss. I had pg symptoms all the times I was pg & m/c. All my m/c's were early, so not chem but I did commence bleeding (knew I was m/c) and all my m/c were natural. You could just play it out for a couple of days (if you are ok mentally) and see what happens or go to your GP for u/s & bloods. U/S might not show much but bloods will determine your HCG levels and if you are m/c.

Im so sorry you are going through this.
My first chemical I had all the pregancy symptoms and no AF....its dragged on for 10days over my usual cycle before I started bleeding and my levels went back to zero (IVF pregancy so it was monitored)
The second chemical I had no symptoms and AF came right on time...but BT showed HCG levels so again another 6days to get back to zero....
If you are concerned at all and your symptoms dont go away go to the GP and ask for a BT and get your hcg level....it should be 0 (but some say as long as its under 2) all is back to normal.

I'm so sorry you're going through all this hun. No real words of advice here but lots of hugs

Aw crap. I'm so sorry, there's no one right way to feel. You can be upset that it happened, and upset that it ended all at the same time. Big hugs, thinking of you xo

My first 2 pregnancies were like that. In fact, my very first one I started passing the clots as I did the HPT. It was horrific, holding a positive test in one hand and what was supposed to be my baby in the other.
Take it each day FS, there's nothing wrong with mourning even if it was not a baby you'd tried for

That's exactly how I was. My best advice is to just roll with how you ARE feeling and to talk to people. I was lucky enough to be able to work through it with good friends. I'm so sorry you're going through this.
