Do you think it is listeria??

Hey ladies,

So im currently 9 weeks and I had subway chicken fillet today. Wasnt thinking but i told them to nuke the chicken until it was piping hot.

I had all the salads and also south west sauce.

Afterwards i started getting stomach ache and have been to the toilet (sorry tmi) 3 times now.

Now im starting to get cold shivers! (although it is quite wet and cold so i dont know if its my mind playing games with me!)

Im so worried.

Do you think its listeria?

No. Listeria takes weeks to get to the stage where you are symptomatic.

I would stay away from subway etc when pregnant if you're worried. It's not great with food prep etc.

From what I've heard symptoms usually occur a few weeks after contracting listeria and alot of ppl don't know they have it. It's the pre cut salads you need to be wary of prob not the meat so much, like you said it can be nuked. Listeria can grow in fridge temps. Also rice is a big One for causing listeria that alot of ppl don't know about. I'm sure you're fine hun, it's not very common but best to be careful. Call your dr if you're concerned.
