Can't make up our mind

So DH and I are having bub #2 in 7wks. We don't know the sex of this bub. We didn't find out when I was pregnant with DD (Amelia Rose) and had a particular boys name picked out. We both really like that boys name so have it picked this time round too, but, last night I mentioned another name that we both like and now I am not sure... which do you like better (middle names are not negotiable, lol).

We have nothing picked for a girl... we just can't agree. DH likes Charlotte and I like Lucy & Isla. We both like Isabelle but can't have that due to close family already having 2 little girls, an Amelia & an Isabelle. I was thinking perhaps we could use it as a middle name though, (first name) Isabelle Francis (Francis being a family name we want to carry on).

I just don't know... what are your thoughts?

That's a tough one. I like Lachlan and Luke equally. I guess if pushed I'd pick Luke. What about Francis as the first name if you have a girl?

I love Lachlan and think it is lovely with Amelia.

I like Lucy Isabelle Francise. You have 2 longish middle names so a nice short first name goes well. I think Isla Isabelle is a mouthfull too so maybe you could put Francise before Isabelle if you went with that.

I have an Amelia and SIL has a Charlotte. I find when they are together and I call out to them they are a real mouth full to say together, I usually end up just calling out 'Girls'.

I really like Lucy Isabelle Francis. I'd love Lucy for my little but but it doesn't work with our surname, and Isabelle is DD1 so I'm a bit biased!

For a boy I like both your choices but probably a slight preference towards Lachlan.

While I like both Lachlan and Luke, I prefer Lachlan with the middle names you've chosen. Out of Charlotte, Lucy and Isla I prefer Isla, but not sure it goes with Isabelle as well as the other two. Though the suggestion of switching Isabelle and Francis isn't bad. Isla Fancis Isabelle is really nice.

Luke Anthony just seems to flow better for me :).

Girls names I like Francis and Lucy the best. Isla Isabelle is to much to say.

I don't have a preferance for either name but I think L.A.M.B. are awesome initials.

I love Lachlan for a boy and absolutely love the name Isla, so Isla Francis for a girl. I wish I could name our little girl Isla but have a friend that has loved that name for years and has wanted that name for her own so don't want to steal it :(

With the girl name, will it be Francis or Frances? Traditionally Francis is for males, Frances for females.

DS is Lachlan so I'm bias on that one ;)

I like all 3 of your girls names but Isla would be my fave.

I like Luke :) Lachlan is nice, but I know a million Lachlan's! People are forgetting about the good old traditional names

So we have finally picked names with 2wks to spare =) If we have a boy, he will be Lachlan Anthony Michael. If she's a girl we've agreed (just this arvo) on Holly Isabelle Frances.

Feel so relieved right now!!
