Hey guys I'm new to this so don't know how to go about it but I have endametriosis and have been trying to fall pregnant for almost 2 years and nothings working I've tried having sex all the time and the only having sex every two days nothings worked and I don't have the funds to do ivf does anyone have any ideas or advice please
Have you had a lap done? You can get it done for free through the public system, you might have to wait a few months but it would be worth it. There are so many more options before ivf and I'm sure if you see a specialist they will take you through these options :D
I'm not sure if you can see a Fertility Specialist through the public system, but you can definitely see a gynecologist :D

Sorry to hear about your endometriosis! I have PCOS which i know is different, but i was having problems conceiving too. I tried Chinese Acupuncture and Herbs and we ended up conceiving without even trying in the end. I am certain it worked for us, i know everyone is different but it may be worth a shot? The other thing that helped with me were Kelp tablets, took a couple of months to work though.
I mainly recommend an actual Traditional Chinese Doctor though, just have noted through experience it worked better for me than a naturopath with acupuncture if that makes sense (though i'm sure there are great ones out there).
Have you tried any natural methods yet?

No I haven't tried anything natural yet because last time I took a fish oil tablet I got sick and I'm scared of any type of needle =[

It's short for laparoscopy, where a tiny camera is inserted to check out the external structure of your uterus, ovaries etc. As part of this you can also have a hysteroscopy to see what's happening inside, and a flush/dye study to make sure there are no tube blockages.
It sounds scary but you're under GA, and it can give you some answers.
In saying that, a gyno or fertility specialist might suggest some other non-invasive things to try first. Do you know if you're ovulating regularly? They could arrange some blood tests and an ultrasound to find more out about your cycle. This is what happened with us long before we went down the exploratory surgery path.
Traditional medicine can help too.
I know how frustrating long-term TTC is, big hugs to you. Endo ain't a walk in the park either.Talking to a trusted medical professional and knowing all your options may help with the next steps, whatever you decide.

I can't help with what a LAP is but I know what you mean with fish oil. I didn't find any bad side effects from the kelp but I used the a. Vogel ones because they are certified organic and have none of the harmful stuff left in them. As for the needles I am the kind of "lay down for a blood test and sing to myself in my head girl". I found acupuncture SO different because half the time I didn't feel the needles and they are seriously tiny. The biggest thing is to pick something and stick at it. Natural stuff takes a couple of months to kick in but for me it fixed/helped it. I just had to weigh up do I put up some discomfort and overcome my psychological issue with needles and have a baby or resort to drugs straight a way. But it's up to every woman :) you need to be comfortable and happy with what you decide. Hang in there hun there is always hope :) xxx
Has your partner been tested? It may not just be the endo. He should have a sperm analysis done
Do you know when you ovulate? If not, I recommend joining Fertility Friend to learn about how to tell when you're fertile. You can buy books on it as well.
There are many factors that can affect fertility. It's worth investigating them all.

I totally feel your pain honey. I have Endo too and it totally SUCKS! I just signed up for this site because I figured that talking to other people who are going through the same thing might help. Maybe we can help each other.
It helps me to have a plan. And right now, Im waiting for my lap. Ive been on the waiting list now for 8 months, so I would talk to your DR asap. And while you are waiting, maybe you could try to work on getting your body ready? I am doing yoga, and Im thinking of seeing a naturopath. I dont know how I feel about that stuff, but at least im doing soemthing. ??? Maybe these ideas will help you.
In the meantime... vent. Vent all you want. I will listen. :)
Just wondering if you ladies haven't had a lap, how are you sure you have endo? It can only be really diagnosed for sure that way...I'd make an appointment with your gp and get a referral to a gynae.
No you are right, I am waiting for the lap so it isnt 100% that I have endo. But 3 GPs, 2 gynos and 1 fertility specialist have all said that it is endo, so that is what I am going with at the moment. I still have to wait for the surgery though.:
Yeah I have missed my period this month but every pee test comes up neg =[ I just want to be a mummy ='[
How long have you waited after your missed period? Did you have any luck with the lap? Or alternative treatment?

I agree with the other ladies that a lap would be a good idea if you know you have endo. Have you spoken to your Dr about it yet?
We were TTC#1 for years and even did multiple IVF before my lap and none of it worked. After a little over 3 years I had a lap to diagnose and treat my endo and was pregnant 2 months later (via IVF). We have since had a natural conception too (our recent m/c, which had nothing to do with my endo) because the endo hasn't had a chance to grow back yet. The lap made a world of difference to our TTC efforts.
Presumably you had a lap in the past when your endo was diagnosed? That's the only way it can be officially diagnosed.
