Where else can I check for blockages?

My washing machine has issues :( It's not very old so it shouldn't have problems but it seems to have a big blockage. It's not not rinsing that well, it's making an awful noise and I need to open the lint collector thing after every load - heaps of water comes out but nothing that might be causing the blockage. I'm not game to do a dry cycle in it because I'm afraid it'll blow it up.

I've looked everywhere I can access to check for a blockage but can't find anything. DH reckons we might need to turn it upside down. Anyone have any other ideas?

Have you googled blockage and your brand of washing machine. I got heaps of info on some online forums when our drier was on the blink. I managed to get a few more months use out of it, but in the end it needed replacing (I found instructions on how to take the back off and undo parts etc...it was really good to know).
