3 month old and elevated temperature

DD is 3 months old and for the last few days has had a temp ranging from 37.3° - 37.7°
I know it isn't too high, but she is only in a nappy and loose top to keep her cool, and we've been in air con (although not too cold and not directly under it)

last night she couldn't settle til midnight and stirred every hour - she usually sleeps 9 til 6! She has also been restless at the boob and doesn't seem to be having as many feeds, but producing enough wet nappies

Should I get her checked over just in case? Thanks

I would. Sounds like an underlying infection and you dont want it getting worse.

Yep off to the doctor. Likely there is an infection.

Yep, at that age, I would get her checked.. A bit older, I would probably wait another day till normal surgery hrs..

it may be her teeth moving in her gums if she hasnt cut any yet or teething again?
I would give her some panadol and see if the temp comes down and she settles ....if the temp goes to 38+ then yes take her to gp .
Temp is 36.5 to 37.5 so i wouldnt worry to much just yet ... if she doesnt drink at all for up to 6 hours ( im saying 6 as there is at least two feeds in 6 hours ??) then a gp visit is the next option. Sounds like teeth and the warm weather.
YOur doing the right things keep a/c on nice temp strip her down to nappy and singlet. 37.7 isnt too warm if she hits 38.1 then panadol nd if temp doesnt budge then gp . I do know these things as i work with peads in emergency and the amount of time mums think the kid has a temp they dont ... beleive me 37.7 isnt a worrying figure ok ...

I would get her checked. DS was similar at 4 months. Poor bubba had an infection in both ears & his throat...

I asked the GP about temps in my 4 week old, and her advice was if it the temp is staying above 38 - 38.5*C then get him checked out. If the temp goes to 38 but then comes down again, you can still manage it at home (as long as there aren't other factors than need checking out).

A baby's temp will raise with crying too, so try to check it when they not too frazzled.

I know BF babies aren't supposed to get constipated but I think my DS is. Over the last week or so we have been finding him with really thick sticky poos and blood in his nappy which I think is from straining rather than blood in his stools. His poos are a very mustardy yellow colour and the non pellet style ones are thick like peanut butter. He had gastro a week ago but didn't dehydrate and recovered fairly well. He is generally a happy baby but this last week he has been really sad at times. The pain mostly seems to come at night during his sleep. I hear him crying and we go to him and he's sleeping but in obvious pain, writhing and grunting and when he does wake, all he wants to do is go back to sleep so the boob fixes everything after only a few sucks. Prior to this his bowel movements were that of a normal BF baby, he'd go a few days without anything then have a whopper, then normal for a few days and then nothing and repeat.

Should I be worried or just wait it out? It's been a week like this.......
