I am thinking I would like to write a birth plan for this baby, delivery will be via planned C/S (unless I go into labour before this).
I have no idea where to start, so if you could please share your bith plans with me, it would be much appreciated :)

Can't help sorry, I'm scheduled in just over 3 weeks. The only thing I've requested is skin to skin asap and to breastfeed in recovery. Both are dependent on how things go and as much as I would love this to happen, I'm not pinning my hopes on it.
Oh and I'll ask them to once again drop the sheet so I can see bubs actual delivery into the world :)
I've heard of ladies specifying things like music playing, mirrors so they can watch the procedure, immediate skin to skin, husband cutting the cord (hubby will trim the cord but cutting is not an option in our hospy). I tho k most other things are standard, ie hubby to stay with bubs at all times etc.
Sorry I can't help any more but I was pretty happy with my first cs so don't really have many 'wants'.

Hey hun I included a csection preferences with my normal birth plan as a 'backup' and then I had an emergency csection at 38 weeks so was glad I had thought about it! My main things were:
*Spinal not general anaesthesia
*hubby in the room for birth
*ability to take still photos (most hospitals won't let you video)
*delayed cord clamping till cord had stopped pulsating
*hubby to cut the cord
*skin on skin mother and baby ASAP
*if something happened during surgery I wanted hubby to go with the baby instead of stay with me (he ended up going to SCN with bubs while I was in recovery)
*breastfeed attempt ASAP with midwife support
Although the following wasn't on my plan I suggest asking for one of the staff on the theatre to be there to explain and describe all the things you will feel (push and pulling) and the noises... I had a doctor at me head doing this while the sheet was up, Helped to keep me calm and feel a bit more in control.

I didn't have a written plan, but I was very set on and vocal about what I wanted. I will come back in a bit when I have 2 hands to type.
i didn't have a plan as such but I had to make sure no one gave Luke a bottle...unless it was absolutly necessary and then only my husband not some random, do not bath my child this one I actually had to sign a form for :dunno: no other visitors were to see/hold my baby before me... I aLso requested if I couldn't have skin or skin then my husband should be allowed too
Check out Rouge's post in this forum, I relied heavily on it when writing up my plan for last time, this time I don't have a plan but the same as Kim, I have been very voal in letting it known what I want.

Everything suggested is what was on mine although I also specifically requested that the sheet be dropped for the actual birth of my children and I am so glad that happened. It really helped me with the whole "now you don't see them, now you do" issue that I was struggling with.
I won't add to what's already been suggested, but I also had a lotus birth.
My placenta was delivered with the baby and wrapped up with her. It was not cut or clamped. I held them both until I couldn't cope with the claustrophobia in theatre (but that's my own issue) and then DH held her.
We then unwrapped her and had skin to skin in recovery and I clamped and cut the cord myself.
If you know you don't deal well with particular drugs (for me it's morphine and it's derivatives) - tell the anaesthetic staff, and make sure they are aware.
If you do get claustrophobic don't allow them to strap your arms down. My Ob applauded me for saying something.
I did request a maternally assisted birth but the hospital I went to had quite a high infection rate, and I was then happy to have the lotus birth instead of possibly compromising my health and my ability to look after bub.

I also had a c-section plan added to my actual birth plan, it had all the same as babybellyburton as well as:
* if I couldnt have immediate skin to skin, then DH was to have skin to skin immediately or as close to immediately as possible
* no bottle ever. If I couldn't breastfeed midwife/DH to hand express and cup feed baby until I could breastfeed.
* baby never to leave my or DH's sight, if bub had to go somewhere DH went too

Because the birth of my ds was an emergency C/S, everything happened so quickly. This time I want to be prepared, all of your replies have helped so thank you :)
