At what point did you FS decide to put two embryos back in?
I know everyone looks at our age and says nope only one....but im wondering how many failed attempts your FS let you have before they decided to start transfering two?
And also did you two embryos result in twins or a singleton?

Probably doesn't help but I have always had two put back in from the get go (unless I only have one available).
No success yet though :(
My FS automatically decided to transfer 2 x embryos after we had 2 x failed ET's with excellent graded blasts. We didn't even know that we were having 2 put back in until the actual transfer which was a bit of shock! We ended up with 1 x BFP from that double transfer so one of my little embryos decided to stick around :dance:.
My FS's reasoning was that we should transfer the two to increase our chances as all of my embryos looked great and I checked out fine.... I'm glad he did because we may not have had our DS otherwise!

My first transfer (fresh) was only 1 embryo but every other transfer after that one I had 2 put back. I think my FS was happy with that as we have 14 frosties and I was 36 when we did IVF.
We still had to go through 3 FET's to get our sticky BFP with DD and then have had another 2 FET's and ended up with our twins.
My clinic said we could after three failed transfers. We decided not to as the advice we were given was that to transfer two doesn't increase the chance of success, it just increases the chance of twins if there was success, if that makes sense. Not sure how true that is though.
I'm glad we didn't because that cycle we got our BFP.
I've only had one cycle but our initial consultation we asked about transferring two & were advised it only increases the chance of multiple births.

My first fet resulted in my DD in 2010. We started our ivf journey again in may 2011 4 FETs later and our
FS decided to start double transfers. Our 4th double transfer (8 in FETs in total) resulted with twins. I'm currently 13 weeks.

We did a single embryo transfer (SET) with our first 2 transfers (1 fresh, 1 frozen). We had planned to ask for 2 for the frozen transfer, but only 1 survived the thaw. After that we transferred 2.
DD is the result of our 5th transfer (2dt of 2 embryos).
I was 32 for my first transfer and turned 34 a week before the one that gave us DD.
Ours said that the standard practice is supposed to be - maternal age must be over 35 or three failed IVF transfers...

we had 11 transfers all up and were never allowed 2 embies, I begged my FS and he just dismissed it. He was concerned that 2 might become 4 babies :o
