A reminder to take care even near your home
I felt this was a good time to remind everyone to drive carefully & pay attention no matter how well you know the road.
I was crossing the road this morning when I almost got hit by a car. So close I actually touched the bonnet with my hand but not enough to hurt. This is yet another close call at this intersection. This intersection has lights & pedestrian crossings. There is a school in the street & people speed all the time. The number of times I've seen people run the red is too many to count & unacceptable!
The woman who almost hit me wasn't running a red, just not looking properly. Too busy thinking about where she's going, playing with her radio, what to have for dinner :dunno: whatever. It gave her more of a fright than it did to me.
Familiarity breeds complacency. The majority of accidents happen close to home. Don't let it be you.
