Get different coloured crepe ribbons. You can make paper chains with different colours and hang on the wall/chairs. You could tape the paper ribbons to the top of the door where the kids come in/out of the house or into the main room for the party.
You can get multi coloured bangles/hair ties etc for party favours.
Finger painting
decorating paper plates they can take home
multi coloured napkins/plates/cups etc
find the pot of gold/treasure hunt
get different coloured My Little Ponies and turn them into unicorns. Place on table and throughout house/garden
If you have a grass area, create a path with sparkles. Though they'll be stamped back into the house and you'll be finding them in crevices 5 years from now :)
place multi coloured paper or plastic windmills throughout the garden.
you can do anything really, just use lots of colour.
Thanks ladies have bookmarked the blogs :)
L&B Thanks for the great ideas :)
Message PumpkinZulu. She's doing the same!
There's heaps of stuff on pinterest on rainbow parties ;)
I was going to suggest Pinterest too :) There always seems to be at least one rainbow party idea every day!
Thanks ladies got some awesome ideas now :)
rainbow jelly was a hit at DD's birthday!
i'll try and think of the other things we did for her bday too and post tomorrow.
Type rainbow party into pinterest if you are on there! I am doing a unicorn rainbow theme for DD's 5th in may and there are heaps of ideas on there!!
Rainbow Jelly
Rainbow Biscuits
Rainbow Cupcakes (I started making these years ago... but recently made them with sour straps as the actual rainbow on top and they were a hit!)
Rainbow fruit skewers
You can make fruit loop bracelets/necklaces.
Thanks Ladies :)
I saw the most gorgeous rainbow fruit platter on facebook. It was an entire plate with red grapes, orange segments, mango pieces, green grapes, blueberries and watermelon balls laid out like a rainbow with a marshmallow cloud at one end and chocolate coins at the other. Just gorgeous!
Also, for my twins birthday, I did a rainbow cake with different coloured icing and skittles on top to make the rainbow colours. Skittles on a cake is kinda different but very yum!
Thanks Trav :)
