Sharkey's herbs and improving egg quality

Hi ladies,

I am wondering if anyone has tried or know of someone who has tried the Sharkey's natural herbs for fertility, mainly to improve their egg quality. I have heard of these people in QLD quite a while ago, but when I mentioned them to my FS he said that I don't need that sort of stuff as IVF has been working well for me up until that point (this was about 2 years ago). Well I have just had a m/c at 6.5 weeks, presumably because of a chromosomal abnormality (still to be determined). I my first cycle at 38 years of age they got 13 eggs out of me, and then at 41 they have only got 4 eggs out. Out of those 4 eggs 3 fertilised but 2 dropped out of the race early on, leaving only one embryo of 4 cells which did implant but only grew to 6.5 weeks. So a huge drop egg wise, but also a big drop in my fertility in terms of my age and my dropping AMH level which is hovering somewhere around 3. I am just wondering if the Sharkey's herbs could possibly improve my egg quality before my next go at IVF....????

Have you tried accupunture?? What state do you live in?? Research into accupunture and IVF is showing great results and if you go to one who specializes in IVF they will let you know if herbs will help. Xx

Hi Zap, that would be great hun, thanks. I have been recommended Janice someone from Brighton but it was mainly for my stress levels, this woman is well trained in the IVF field apparently.

I tried Sharkeys when TTC. Didn't work for me. I agree to give acupuncture a go.. Good luck :hug:

I'm currently taking Sharkey herbs, they haven't worked for me so far. However I'm only using them to assist with getting a cycle, as I have PCOS.

My friend that put me onto Sharkey's also has PCOS and has 2 cycles a year, she fell pregnant successfully within 3-4 months of taking the herbs.

Blessed & JokerRed, thanks guys. I am first going to try the acupuncture with a lady that specializes in IVF, then I'll look into the Sharkeys treatment. I've got nothing to lose.....

I am doing Sharkeys herbs at the moment as I have PCOS and have been trying to concive for a few years. It has helped me so far with getting my period which means I am ovulating which is great. =] I think that it is different for everyone and all you can do is try. I know it is hard but if it works then it is sooooo worth it.

A friend of mine did woth success (twins via ivf and a surprise natural after 7 years of unexplained infertility) . Shes recommend it to another friend of mine.but dont know if she looked into it or not. I can find out more details for you if you want.
