Birthday presents.

DD1 3rd birthday is coming up, she has been asking for a Barbie doll house since before Christmas, I can't find them anywhere now:doh: Toys r us have a similar house so might be alright but I thought maybe I could buy her something else, say the Tinkerbell big play station thingy that she loves at her friends house and maybe wait to see if the Barbie doll house comes out in the toy sales.

Now my question is, Have you ever gotten your loved one something other then what their heart was set on and not dissapointed them. I keep thinking she will be happy with anything but anytime you ask her what she would like for her birthday it is always the same answer.

I saw them in Target last week.

I try to get the girls what they have asked for if there is one specific thing that they have been asking for. Otherwise they seem to just like anything, and definitely like the fuss and attention that comes with birthdays

I have been to 3 different targets, 2 big W's, a Kmart, a toys r us, and 2 uncle petes and nowhere has them here and can't say when they will get more. No one has them online ordering either. :( So when I say I have looked, I mean I spent 2 Fridays driving everywhere looking.

I don't know, she is a smart cookie, if I can't find it before her birthday I can probably get her to understand that she will get it soon, we just have to find one first.

This! Our target Country had them as well.

Sounds like you've already looked far and wide. I'm sure you'll worry about a lack of doll's house more than she will. I'm sure you will find her something great

I reckon they must be having a supplier proplem - I had a google too and everyone seems to sell them - but they are all currently sold out.

I could not remember if it was BigW or Target that I saw the Timkerbell Cafe so I went to a BigW first, no Tinkerbell Cafe but one Barbie dollhouse sitting pretty on the shelf. YAY and on sale too:) I took it straight to layby and the guy said he had not long put it out from a long overdue layby. Very happy now.

I still put the Tinkerbell Cafe on layby and will decide which she gets for her birthday and the other will be a combined Christmas present for both girls. I can't believe I have DD1 birthday presents shopping all done.
