Who else suffers from eyelid twitches?

I have had my left upper eyelid have these twitches for pretty much all of my adult life. I've never really worried about them. They don't hurt, my vision isn't affected, but they can be annoying. I've never had it checked out... just figured that it was excess power that my pea brain wasn't using... :lol::lol: Yes I joke.

Just for fun I googled it today and didn't expect to find much, but I've found it's actually REALLY common. I've never been one to brag about it myself and I don't think I've ever brought it up in conversation, but I didn't realise how many people are affected.

I can have mine for a few days at a time, then it will stop before coming back. It's super random but when the twitching starts it generally happens on and off for at least 3-4 days at a time.

Who else is affected by eyelid twitching?

I do but mine are usually related to stress. They only last a little while - less than an hour.

I get it too - more when I haven't been sleeping properly or am particularly tired. Never really worried about them or anything though, unless they come associated with a free migraine

Yep, same here.

I have only recently started to get them in my lower lid. Most annoying. I think it was stress related tho. Lasted about a month then went away

I get them now & then too. Rarely but yes. Soooo annoying! Not sure what triggers mine.

I get them too and usually tired and stress related. Mine last about a day on and off before they go. My gF was under huge stress once and had them in one eye for more than 3 weeks!!

i work with an optometrist and they said its related to stress and being tired.... but mine comes on pretty randomly.

Oh yeah, I get them when I'm really tired or angry. It's really frustrating when I'm angry.

I totally get them! All the time. Maybe as I am tired all the time from nightshift. Also stress seems to help make it a regular occurrence!
