So, had very bad stitch like pains and went into hosp to get checked and I am 3cms dilated and starting to efface. I am scared, but happy it may be over soon. I am home now and not sure what to do with myself.
How long did it take for you to go from 3cms till birth? My Ob said he wouldnt be surprised if tonight, but prob in the next week, though obviously could be 3 weeks still!!! ahhhh, not 3 weeks, I am in too much pain at the moment!
How exciting for you. I hope you don't have to wait to much longer but atleast you know your body if working hard at its preperations for labour.

I hope it is very soon for you. On my due date I was 2cms but DD didn't arrive for another 7 days. Good luck!
hopefully not too long if you are having some pains, i was 2 cms on my due date and my waters didnt break for 5 days THEN labour started.
It will be weird if it happens on Thursday as I will be 38+2 which is what I was when I had my DD!
I sat like that for 19 weeks ....... so i'd say not long in your case ;)

Good luck! Both times for me it was about 2 hours from 3cms to birth, but that is obviously a different kettle of fish because I didn't get any more that 1cm until I was in the throes of labour. Hope it happens for you soooooooon!
Nickers - I am in constant pain (for the last few hours but then at points it gets really bad, then goes back to manageable. I cant say it reminds me of my last labour but who knows!
I got checked at 39w1d and was 3cm dialated and early the next morning I went into Labour!! DS arrived 16 hour later. Hopefully this is it babes!! :dance:

I was induced with DS so no experience but we'll all be watching for a BA :)
Was only 45min for me :rofl:
In both my labours internals have sort of helped things along I do say they are uncomfortable, invasive and unnecessary but they have their benefits ;)
About 15 minutes for mem with DD2, so hopefully you have a little longer than that! Looking forward to your BA.
It was about 18 hours for me.

I didn't have an internal with my first until I was in labour. With my second, I was 2cm when my OB did a S&S at exactly 38 weeks. I had SROM at 38+4
