What are you taking to improve your egg quality?

Hi Girls

I think I need help with my egg quality. Being 41 and having been through 3 rounds of IVF both stim and Fet's and still no BFP yet, my FS has put it down to egg quality as to why we cant conceive, as he says my levels all good, uterus all good, sperm all good

Any suggestions? I have seen that some of you are on CoQ10. What dosage and what brands?

I have asked about DHEA, but my FS doens't really believe in it. *sigh*

What else can I try???

I have quite a bit of info on this Vic but I am on my phone at the moment.

Have a look in the LTTTC and Assisted conception Over 12 months thread. I have some posts in there about it.

In the meantime, re: coq10, I take 300mg a day of high strength (along with a bazillion other things).

It's hard though because the time you are 40, over 90 percent of your (relatively few) remaining eggs are chromosomal abnormal. Us oldies really are playing a lottery game :(

Great question Vic. I am not yet 40 but just a few years short. I am also thinking and researching this. Have you had your AMH tested?

I take -

- 2 daily nutrimedicine multi complex with selenium
- 4 flordis high strength fish oil 4000mg
- 2 grape seed extract
- 2 optimal rx coQ10 300mg
- 1000mg b12
- royal jelly 2000mg
- 3000mg vit d

I also take a uterine tonic with si wu tang, rehmannia glutinous, peonia lactiflora, glycryrrihiza glabra, cimicfuga

Also, 1500mg of metformin.

I am looking into oestrogen priming cycle. Two of my friends have tried it and have BFP. I am currently getting info on this it is a longer cycle with a lot of injections but I think it's worth a shot.

Hi, I am on m 4th cycle as I have a big problem with quality of eggs. I was put on DHEA for this cycle and ater having my EC on Thurs, there has been no improvement in my quality. Had 1 fertilised egg out of 10.

One Dr at the clinic thought it made a big difference, but another said it didn't, so I think there are conflicting views. My Dr has said that she has spoken to a naturopath about putting me on some supplements for next time, so once I have them, I'll let you know
