Hello! I have those dry cleaning sheets for use in the drier- bought from the supermarket. But I'd like to make my own, using Chux or a similar sheet. Does anyone know what sort of cleaning solution I'd make for them? For silks and delicates. The supermarket ones are damp, not wet and feel not quite oily but it's not just a water solution either.
No idea but does the supermarket ones say what the contents are on the box/container?

Do you mean dryer sheets with softener or something different there are heaps of recipes for dryer sheets online.
No something that actually dry cleans, not freshens or softens. I've had a look and found one that says simply put a damp (not wet) towel into the dryer with the clothes and to spot treat any actual stains with a solution of 1:20 water and washing detergent.
I've never seen them. What brand are they?

Ps I also read these basically contain perfume, an emulsifier, water and a diluted cleaning agent.
So you pop that in the dryer with clothes and it dry cleans them?
Yep. They are good, but expensive. I have a packet that I've tried on my winter coat and it seemed to bring it up nicely.
Yes it works really well. You still need to spot clean if there are marks but I take anything with a notable mark to the drycleaner anyway.
