Me Again... Smelly White Stuff In Her Nose

DD2 this time.
Last night she came to our bed and said she wasn't feeling well, i thought her breath smelt a bit gross and thought she might be teething but upon looking she had some white gunk in her nose.
I got it out and it STUNK but there didn't seem to be anything else there.
She slept in our bed and this morning i wake feeling a bit gross to realise her stinky nose is in my face and now there is a big glob of white gunk in 1 nostril and it's at the top of the other also.
I got a bit of a cotton bud to swab it, got a tiny bit on the cotton bud and it stunk... to the point i wanted to :sick:

I am going to try and get her into the Dr this morning, what could this be... infection? sinus problems? something worse... i really didn't want to google :rofl:

Probably a sinus infection. Gp would be a really good idea

Sounds like an infection of some sort.

I'd say sinus infection too. Poor poppet. Hope she feels better soon.

I would get her checked out as She may have even stuck something up there that has caused an infection or something along those lines. I have a friend who's child did that and didn't tell her for days, he was fine in the end but the dr said its very common for kids to come in with things that have been up there for months!!

Yes my aunty apparently stuck some sponge up her nose as a young child and they only found out from the horrific smell some time later.

Thanks everyone, at gp now, she got one of the first appt's will casually ask about DD1 & her coin aswell. :wall:

:sick: Dr got another MASSIVE chunk out of her nose, even he commented on how bad it stunk and that it was quite odd for such a big chunk to be there considering i got 1 half the size out this morning and her nose was clear.
He took a swab and also put the giant chunk in to be tested and she is on anti's aswell.

He said there is defintely some sort of infection but he wasn't 100% on the cause as he couldn't see anything stuck up there.

DD had done a #2 and when he pulled this chunk out you could smell it OVER the top of her yuck nappy.. my poor little princess :(

can you get thrush up your nose?

Not sure about thrush, this was a solid mass, it wasn't lining the nose or anything?

I was thinking more about smelly globbies. You can get smelly globbies from thrush ...

Should get the results tomorrow afternoon, hopefully it's nothing horrible outside of a sinus infection.
She's having 5ml of anti's 3x daily so we should be through the bottle pretty quickly, no smell yesterday or today and nothing else in her nose so i think it's working already.
