I have a huge list in my counsellors manual if you're interested I can list it all for you? When I'm off the iPad.
Some popular ones,
Breast feeding myths
The early days breast feeding
Night feeding
Tandem feeding and through pregnancy
Baby led solids
Awesome, if you have time :)
We had one recently about birth experience impacting on breastfeeding.
We are constantly trying to think of things because numbers attending our groups are dwindling - people come back but as they are going back to work we just are not getting many new mums coming along :-( (But the social/craft evenings are doing well with people who can't make the more formal gatherings)
We had a group member do one on breastfeeding and maternal weightloss - myth or reality (she is a dietitian) that was really interesting
The baby led solids tends to be popular.
Breastfeeding and Weight Gains
Who's looking after you - supporting breastfeeding mother
Breastfeeding with a Toddler (focusing on ways of entertaining/dealing with a toddler and breastfeeding a baby - not necessarily tandem feeding focused)
I have been volunteered to do one called Winter Wonderland (breastfeeding in colder months - because we do one about breastfeeding in warm weather) because I am from the UK (despite the fact didn't have kids over there at all).
I always enjoy the research updates one (just had a latest info from the conference one)
I do find some topics are harder to discuss within the ABA guidelines (e.g. birth experience impacting on breastfeeding as are not able to name anyone anywhere and attendees find that difficult because they are actually interested in that info).
We had a speech therapist come and talk - really popular and interesting info presented
returning to work
breastfeeding through sickness (mum or bub) and let ppl know where to go if they have qu on medications, surgery etc and bfeeding
walk and talk (in warmer months)
Babywearing is always popular for us, as is baby-led solids/weaning, sex and breastfeeding (run as night meeting), PND (another night meeting)...
We've just done a planning meeting, I should know some other good ones... let me think...
We do one for new and expectant mums called "The Early Daze", which always gets a lot. Also Sleep is a popular one.
We've also had some guest speakers - we've had a chiro, who was popular.
