Once-off flashing lights: should I worry?

Hi all,

Haven't been around much lately but just needing some advice. Currently 34 weeks pregnant and this evening had a visual disturbance - saw flashing lights like tiny tadpoles dancing in front of my eyes. I know this can be a sign of Pre eclampsia so just wondering how persistent they need to be before I should worry?

I last saw my midwife a week ago and my BP was 120/70 so nice and normal. I have a bit of swelling in my feet which I think is normal too, hardly any in my face and hands. The only other thing I can think is that I've been getting some sharp pains on and off the last few days, kind of just under my ribs. No headaches. Baby's movements seem okay and we had a scan last week which estimated 59th percentile for size, so not worried about IUGR.

I do work at a hospital and see a lot of women with high risk pregnancies which does make me super paranoid!

Should I call my midwife in the morning or not bother? My next appointment isn't for 2 more weeks.

Any advice or experiences much appreciated. TIA :)

Good thing about working in a hospital... Just go in to work and ask a cute doctor to check you out ;D

Lol... Sadly any of the doctors young enough to still be cute would be too obnoxious for me to want to ask!
