Non vaxxed kids & the 4yo check up
A friend of mine's DS turns 4 next month & will be due to have the 4yo check/healthy school review.
My kids are all mostly immunised, so this hasn't been an issue for me, her DS isn't immunised. She is being told that because the check up doesn't involve immunisation for her she'll have to pay the gp over $100 (no bulk billing), as they aren't getting the 'immunisation incentive' (or what ever they call the money from the government for it).
Is this right? I'd assume the check up should be covered by Medicare, as with any other consultation? She apparently can't even claim it back on Medicare.
Has she been given the wrong information? Or is everyone else dealing with the same?
