DD had strep throat, when does it become 'too much'?
We took DD to the GP yesterday, we wanted her tested for a few things as she's unvaccinated at this stage, and he was quite dismissive. Looked at her throat and said it was some kind of strep, gave us antibiotics and that was that. It started as a dry cough for a few days, then a persistent dry cough, then yesterday a chesty cough. Today, she's got an extremely chesty cough, running snotty nose, crackling when breathing. She's coughing up mucous (clear) and seems sometimes to choke/gag on it. This is the first time she's been properly sick and I'm just not sure what the difference between 'normal' and 'worrying' is. Her coughing fits make her go so red in the face and sometimes she has to catch her breath. Just wanting to know what sort of things are within the realms of normal strep symptoms, and what signs I should be looking out for that she's not okay.
