Braxton Hicks at 16 weeks?

I'm 16w, and I don't remember these happening quite so soon last time, but then I may have just been unsure of what they were? I think I'm getting BH already, just a tight hard feeling very low, just around where my uterus is sitting at the moment. Not painful or crampy, just tight and squeezy.

Seeing the GP next Friday for a checkup, and the hospital in 3-4 weeks time, so I'll mention it, but just for some added reassurance, this is still one of those normal-for-16w-things right? It's been 4 years since I've done this and I think I need a pregnancy refresher course in 'normal' PMSL!

Yep, it sounds like it is BH! I got them around the same time with this pregnancy & I can't remember with DD but I know that they came earlier too!

Yep me too! I got them at 20 weeks with DD but didnt realise what they were until a middie told me at an antenatal appointment. So at 15-16 weeks i started to get them and they were quite unpleasant. But i do have a spastic uterus (as i like to call it lol) so when the baby grows it sets them off.

Yelp every pregnancy I've had them earlier :)

I think I started getting them around 16 weeks with my second.

Have had them earlier each pregnancy.
20+ with 1st
16+ with 2nd
12+ with 3rd
10+ with 4th

If they get too uncomfortable you can use a warm (not hot) heat pack.

Thanks everyone :-) After some this morning, and I fairly certain that is what they are! Got a GP check up this week so will run it past him.

Yelp is right! Me too, I've been having them for a while now. They got really noticeable on the weekend though.

By the way a midwife role me BH is often the way our body is telling us to rest- so if you are getting them often try to sit down with your feet up for a little while.

Not always easy, I know. ;)
