Weight & Measurements - What Do You Think When You See Them?
Another thread had me thinking about the methods we use to compare ourselves to others & how we determine who is healthy, overweight or obese.
So i was wondering, when you get on the scales or you take your measurements HOW do you process this information?
Do you look at BMI, do you use some other method to work out where you are at personally with your weight / health.
ME:
Height - 180cm (roughly - 5'11")
Weight - 97.5kg
BMI - 30 = Obese
I took rough measurements (i hope from the right spots)
Bust - 105cm
Waist - 90cm
Hips - 116cm
Butt - 128cm - oh yeah Baby's got back
For me personally i look at the scales and think  i'm under 100kg now but i still have a long way to go, i take my measurements and think i really am bottom heavy (no pun intended)
I don't look at myself in the mirror and think OMG look at this obese person - i don't look great and i am a bigger girl but i never thought of myself as unhealthy or obese.
I don't expect everyone to put their measurements on here (but feel free to do so) but i would like to know if outside of BMI there are other ways i should be comparing myself.
I'm just interested to know what we think when we see the numbers (be it yours or mine).
