On 13 June 2012 the world became a brighter place...

...with the birth of Christian James at 9:51am at St Andrews Private Hospital, Ipswich Queensland.

Christian was born 3.39kgs/7lb 7 oz by emergency c-section at 35 weeks & 5 days. He was in the Special Care Nursery for a whole 4 days and was released to his mummy & daddy.

After I was released from critical care the next day, I was allowed to see my precious bundle.

Although he lost 300grams in the first week, he has today weighed in at 3.8kgs!
