Hey guys i confused. I have tried charting everything and i just dont get it. =[ I feel so uselss because i cant even do something so simple as charting so i know when i ovulate.
I have just found out that i have PCO and i am going to be asking my doctor to put me on clomid asap as me and DH want to have a baby.
I just fell like i have failed because i dont know how to chart or anything

have you tried the charting lessons on Fertility Friend? i found them helpful to learn the basics. if you are not having regular periods charting can be pretty hard though.
I'm a bit confused myself Tashie87. I thought you had endometriosis? Please discuss this with your dr. It is totally pointless to take clomid if you have endometriosis. It would be a waste of time and money and monitoring.
Yeah I think I might and last time I had a ultrasound apprently my endametrim lining or whatever it is was 0.8cm which apprently was normal so I'm so confused
You can't be diagnosed with endometriosis unless you have had a laparoscopy.
How long have you been charting? A week isn't going to tell you anything. Get on fertility friend, follow the course and chart for 2-3 cycles. Invest in an ovulation thermometer and learn to track your body symptoms.
Otherwise just see a doctor.
If you have PCO, charting may not be helpful. I had annovulatory cycles (ie: no ovulation) due to PCO, so there was never a temp spike. From what you have posted you need to go back to your GP and get more clarity/information around PCO and ttc.
Hi Tashie87, sounds like your having a very rough and confusing time atm! The thickness of your endometrium changes in degree depending where you are in your cycle. For example its at its thinnest during and just after your period and then thickens during the cycle until at ovulation it begins to provide a nice comfy place for a little one to attach to :):
Has your Dr diagnosed both endo and the PCO? I know you have just had a scan and the PCO was found but has your Dr discussed this with you? Or do you 'think' you have endo due to some kind of symptoms? Sorry for all the questions but if you give us a 'fuller' picture we might have a few ideas to guide you somewhere.
Try to just relax, there are loads of girls on here that can point you in the right direction with charting. I tried for months to charts my cycles but I have a regular cycle so that helped a lot! You havent failed, we all start somewhere and now is your staring time :hug:
Yeah I am going back to my doctor. And that's the thing the doctor that told me I had endametriosis is useless to the point I changed doctors and have a appointment with a gyno
Hey Lillydust thank you so much. I have been told by my doctor that I have PCO but before we could discuss anything there was a emergency with his family he had to leave.
The endametriosis was a different doctor who was useless hence why I changed and he went off the symptoms because I didn't know you needed surgery just everything is so confusing to me and I just feel like my body isn't even normal =[ thank you all so much for the advice and everything =] it means a lot
Tashie: I know how it feels to think your body is useless as failing you, as do many women on here. Reality is though we can't do anything about it except keep trying and do all we can to get to know how our individual bodies tick.
For me with the PCOS I still charted on fertility friend and went through their "course" that they email you.
Even though I had really really irregular periods, I found the charting helpful because it was able to identify how long my leutal stage was, which was constantly 14 days (a small victory to know SOMETHING was consistent with my cycle). Also I got to know what my cervical mucous was doing each cycle and what my temperatures were like. I definitely recommend it, just to know what your body does.
Also if you do end up on clomid, it's not a guaranteed quick fix, it doesn't work for everyone so I strongly suggest try to get your body healthy-diet, exercise, even those supplements I told you on a other thread, that way when and if you have t have help from the doctor your body is in the best possible position to start.
Remember too that while it feels hopeless and confusing now, you can get through it and hopefully soon it will be a distant memory. :)
I just wanted to echo the posters above. The charting course on fertility friend is the best introduction to charting that you will find.
If charting temperatures isn't working for you, the fertility friend course also covers other fertility signs you can monitor (but only the temperatures will confirm O).
Then again, if you start seeing a fertility specialist, there's usually no need to chart because they generally do all the monitoring you need.
Also, what Lenny said about endometriosis being diagnosed via laparoscopy (key-hole surgery) is 100% correct. Whatever your old Dr's suspicions, you can't have a diagnosis of endo unless you've had the surgery. I hope your new Dr can shed more light on it for you.
