Sometimes I am a bit thick (as you know!) but who (or what?) we're they suggesting stem cell therapy on? I've never heard of it being used...but am interested.
Sorry that I can't help :(
what is it?
sounds good myturn.... i just googled it :-) i want to try it lol. apparently it helps cells to cummunicate better and improve endo lining.
ill try anything to help as we all will sign us up! xoxoxo
I read your other post. Wow, he sounds like he has loads of ideas. I know nothing about it, but can't wait to see some positive results. Hopefully someone will find this thread and shed some light on it for you. Or you might be our resident guinea pig.
To quote the FS, stem cells have been found in ovaries so to improve quality, and activate "germline" cells, blood is taken from you and the cells are isolated. The cells are then activated and transferred intravenously. It takes seven weeks and involves weekly treatment.
The G-CSF is a drug (filgrastim is one brand) which is a cytokine which has been shown to increase the number of good quality eggs in a cycle. Apparently good quality eggs have high level of cytokine occuring naturally.
The trial results have been really promising.

so they jsut take blood and find the ovarian stem cells? Or they take them from the ovaries?
sounds like it's worth a go! expensive no doubt?
From what I understand it is just from the blood Mad B. It is $2k a cycle
what's another 2k!? :wall:
Well, it's all well and good if it bloody works, I guess.
I have stem cells in my milk. I can send you some :)
