I have had an incrisingly hairy top lip for a few years now and I have had enough of how ugly it is :wall::wall::wall:. I want to get this procedure done but wanted ALL your experiences. especially what it looked like afterwards and how painfull it was.

I had mine done and it didn't hurt, but it just thinned out the hair that's there (hair thinner/smaller and slightly less of it). There isn't that visible a shadow now after 6 sessions, but if I could I'd have another 6 done (may well look into that when I get a job). I still get it waxed for special occasions. Also, when I had it done, I was told that you can't have laser surgery while pg so as you're TTC that's something to consider.
I have had my underarms, lower back and legs done. I'm really happy with the results - around 5 hairs under the arms, the only hairs left on my back are blonde, and my legs have had a 70% reduction but I still have around3 treatments left for them.
I did however switch companies as the first company I went to badly burnt my back to the point it scabbed and was scarred for 6 months, but it's ok now. I have black hair and light olive skin.
To cope with the pain I use numbing cream and it helps to lessen it quite a bit. After I finish having all my kids I will do my tummy as well, since during my pregnancy with my baby I grew hair there so another part to add to the list :)
I'm so glad you asked this question. My mo is getting out of control! But I'm a bit worried about laser burns Ok under your arms but a bit of a problem on the mifddle of your face - what are the best ways to avoid this happening?
Maybe get them to do a lower setting first? Otherwise they suggest to keep the area out of the sun for at least two weeks before treatment - hard to do if it's your face though.:
Slathering on aloe vera gel straight away after treatment helps to cool it down but besides from that I don't know what to suggest, as I have never been burned at the clinic I switched over to now so I am thinking it was more to do with the technician/equipment at the first clinic I tried - they didn't use the cooling air like the place I go to now. When I was getting my back done there the pain was a LOT more intense than it had been when they did my underarms but if you have never had it done before then you have nothing to compare it to.
I love laser hair removal - my lip and chin are SOOOO much better than they were - not perfect, but good enough that I don't feel so self conscious.... but research your company first, I went to a reputable place that was set up by Dr's, so I had to have a review by the dr first, and the nurses did the treatments....
it stings a little at first, but after a while is fine and is WAYYYYY less painful than waxing ;)
