You need to be aware that you can only be granted extra hours for the time your child actually has to be in care because neither parent can physically care for them. NOT the hours your centre charges. You can, at any time, be asked to prove why you need more than 50 hours care. You may have to show evidence that your child was in care for the full day and show why (ie dropped of at 630 because you work from 8-5 and have a 90 minute commute). Just because your centre charges a 12hiur day doesn't mean you get extra hours of ccb/ccr automatically. I have declined more of these requests than I've granted
