OMG I am so confused *shakes head*

When it comes to MCN's....

I have about 15 China Cheapy MCN's, I understand that they are 'pocket nappies' and one size fits most. I have the boosters for those so thats fine.

The other day I bought 3 Itti Bitti D'Lish All in ones in Medium that we on sale on the Itti Bitti site. So i'm sitting here looking at this nappy and can't figure out what i'm meant to do :rolleyes:

It has some sort of 'booster' sewn in at the back and on the bottom it had 2 press studs. Am I meant to buy more 'snap in' boosters from Itti Bitti and snap them to the bottom of the sewn in bit for absorbancy?

Sorry this sounds like such a dumb question but I cant work it out :(

sounds like a snap-in, yeah. there are extra boosters, I don't know whtehr they're absolutely essential, though, not 100% certain about those nappies.

Thanks Mad B, I thought they looked like snap in ones as well but the tags etc definately say All in Ones - I had the choice between both :shrug:

I have them and yeah the 'snaps' are for extra boosters if you want to use them but I never have :D having said that I have hardly used mcns this past year as we are on rain water & have barely had enough water for drinks & showers! I miss my mcns :(

It does sound like an all in one. Can you only see 2 red snaps on the bottom of the booster? And the top of the booster is sewn onto the nappy? If yes, this is an all in one and there is an hidden absorbency inside the nappy as well (that cannot be removed) back to the red snaps, you can buy a mini booster to snap on here, this is optional and it does give a bit more absorbency.

If you don't want/have the snap in booster that is fine just pop the nappy on and go!

(You have to wash (and dry) these nappies a few times before they reach full absorbency)

Oh and just to let you know, if they were 'snap in' nappies they would have 2 removable boosters, a square booster that folds in three with purple snaps and then a hourglass shape with red snaps.

I've bought Mediums but now i'm seeing a lot of people say that they have 10 month old kids in these so i'm thinking I might need to buy some smalls!!! I'm thinking of using my China Cheapies during the day and then the Itti's at night time so I might buy a few of the mini boosters. Thanks so much for your help!!!

And any suggestions on whether the Microfibre or bamboo boosters are better?

Bamboo - absorb more, no compression leaks but slower drying
Microfibre - faster drying, but prone to compression leaking.

Bamboo for me.
FWIW my 6 monther is so chunky she's only just squeezing into her Ms and is only a smidge over 6kgs (and they're supposed to go to 11!).

My girls (6lbs at birth) started in mediums at around 3 months old and my oldest was in them until over 3 years old :o my youngest is 11 months and on the loosest snaps.

My DD burst out of those mediums at around 5 months! And she was not that big.

Yay, itti bitti's are fantastic! They're the only nappy I use lol. DDI has given the perfect description, **** much more I could add there.

I did just want to say though, I have the mediums and 14 month old 10kg DD still fits in them perfectly. As for absorbancy, I use them as an all in one (so with no extra snap-in) but because DD is quite a heavy wetter they don't tend to last longer than 2.5 hours at most. The tuttos are the way to go for things like long car trips where she'll be sitting in it for a while.

DD3 is in small itti bittis now and she's 5.2kgs now, but with skinny chicken legs. Just in case you're considering buying some smalls, I have the all in ones and the snap ins and the snap ins are a bigger fit around the waist - I guess because there is a little less bulk without the sewn in boosters. I find both styles perform the same so the snap ins might be better value with a longer life ITMS

Do you sew? I made some nappies based on the rough measurements of ittis and they're great, too :) (and fraction of the price)

Madb- sew and I in the same sentence just don't mix!! My mum and nanna however are both quite good so I might have a chat to them about making some for me :p

My 2.5 yr old still fits in medium ittis (just), but they are getting snug on my 6 month old! I think it is all in the legs, she is pretty slender but he has chunky legs.
