Query about waters breaking

Just a quick one as i'm on my phone. Sorry if TMI, but yesterday while DTD I think i may have broken my waters. :p I'm 5 days past EDD so it wouldn't really be an issue but I'm just not sure. My husband and I both noticed the fluid and it had no smell but I have noticed no fluid leaking since. In fact there has been no discharge at all and I'm the driest i have ever been with no discharge at all. Bubs is engaged and ready to go so not sure if maybe his head his blocking more leakage or something or if it's just a bladder control issue. A bit embarrassing so I don't want to call obs or present to hospital with no reason. Should what do u guys think I should do??

I think it's probably the semen mixed with your bodily fluids coming back out. How much was there? Always worth checking with your healthcare provider if you think it's necessary though.

I had thought bodily fluids too - Only there weren't any from him yet IYKWIM. He felt it on his leg and there was a patch on the bed about the size of my hand, 15cm maybe. I might call on Monday, just wondered if it's still ok to have sex though. I want to encourage bubs to come but not risk infection. its just so dry now it's a bit weird.

Normally if you break your waters there will a constant trickle of fluid draining, so it sounds more like your own bodily fluids all came out at once rather than your waters. That said, if you think they may have broken then it is worth contacting your midwife to talk through what happened and she may ask you to have a check-up or some monitoring done.

Here TMI for you, I started having gushes of my own fluid when I orgasmed late in this pregnancy, like "female ejaculation" so it could be similar- I think itis because there is so much pressure in the area now!

Sounds like your bodily fluids to me. I get the same thing. Im 38 weeks and find that I get very very "wet" whilst DTD. Its to a point of running down my leg and even my hubby feels it and thinks Ive wet myself lol. I find its been getting worse from 30 weeks on, so most likely just the extra weight and pressure, cause I certainly hadnt orgasmed yet.
hope that helps, if your worried Id go to the doc but, or even ring the midwife or hospital and ask for some advice (not giving your name or anything if youre embarrassed)

That's about how much fluid there was when my waters broke with DD. She was engaged and big so her head made a great plug and the rest followed her out about 9 hours later. I'd get it checked out.
